Child Development Centre
Dear Peter
I am sure that you will be pleased to hear
that the Child Development Centre is now fully funded, thanks to a donation of
£400,000 from two of the partners in an investment house.
We are of course delighted with this news,
which builds on the foundations that you put in place for us, so thank you once
again for giving this project such a tremendous start. I think that it is
fair to say that your initial investment was of great encouragement to the two
most recent donors, as they could see that someone from the financial industry
was taking the project seriously enough to invest heavily at the start.
Needless to say, funding the Centre way
ahead of schedule has simply encouraged the Paediatric Steering Group to look
very hard at the plans for the next phase of the Paediatric refurbishment and
we should have a business case ready for that phase very early in the New
Year. The focus of this phase will be the 5th floor Paediatric facilities.
I very much hope that you will want to
continue to be involved with the next phase of the project, and perhaps we can
discuss that when you visit the Child Development Centre to see it before the
refurbishment takes place; please let me know when would be convenient on the
New Year and I will set that up for you.
Once again, thank you for all your support
for St GeorgeÕs.
My best wishes to you and your family for
a very happy Christmas and a prosperous 2008.
Sean
